A poem rushed out, and I thought I&#8217;d share it here: <\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p><b>Crushed Ice<\/b><\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t see my future, the coming years are hidden<br \/>\nbut in this moment the sun&#8217;s<br \/>\nshining on me, the sky&#8217;s coloured<br \/>\nwith promises. The night cold has faded,<br \/>\nthe path&#8217;s filled with snowbroth \u2013 <\/p>\n<p>I wade in spring, the ice cracks under my boots<br \/>\nwater welling beneath. My smile<br \/>\nof satisfaction, my wet socks:<br \/>\nit&#8217;s like my first spring in Finland<br \/>\nwhen I learnt the magic<br \/>\nof ice to water<\/p>\n<p>in our garden,<br \/>\nwhen I crushed ice into shards of the past. <\/p>\n<p>* * *<\/p>\n<p>(Snowbroth is among some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buzzfeed.com\/lukelewis\/27-delightful-obsolete-words-its-high-time-we-revived\">delicious words I want to start using<\/a>.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Slept late, read a wonderful book for two hours, went for a walk.
